Background: To fully unleash its economic growth potential, modernizing, upgrading and expanding the outdated railway system has become the top priority on the central government’s agenda. In February this year, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued a decision to create a Steering Committee tasked with overseeing the development and execution of the investment policy project for the high-speed railway on the North-South axis, estimated at US$58.7 billion. Meanwhile, the government also plans to continue investing heavily in metro rail systems as a key component of its strategy to expand public transportation infrastructure, aiming to build a total of 10 metro lines in its capital city Hanoi by 2030 and complete 6 metro lines running around 183 kilometers by 2035 in Ho Chi Minh city.

Against this background, the Vietnam Railway Summit 2024 is going to bring together industry leaders, policy makers, technical experts, investors and financial institutions, suppliers, EPCs across the value chain to have in depth discussion on the most concerned topics in Vietnam railway industry, share successful experience and best practices, showcase latest technological advances and innovations.

We look forward to meeting you in Hanoi in September.
